Get Up... Get Out...Get Involved

The Walpole Sport and Recreation Centre opened its doors on 7 March 1998. 

Positioned as the premier health and wellbeing facility in the community it was designed and

built in direct response to a service gap and the expressed needs of the community,

in particular the desire for community members to be able to participate in a variety of

physical activity all year round in an enclosed, versatile facility that was both

accessible and inclusive.

The Walpole Sport and Recreation Centre’s mission statement is -

The Walpole Rec Centre is an asset that belongs to us, the people of Walpole and surrounds.  It is a vibrant hub of our community, promoting health and wellbeing,
in a friendly and safe environment.

The centre has a broad product range.  The aim is to optimise benefit to both the Centre and customer in a competitive environment and ensure the full product range is developed and positioned in order to meet the needs and demands of each identified target group.
